On March 22 a working meeting of experts on cultural heritage from the Visegrad Group was held at the International Cultural Centre in Cracow. It was attended by representatives of all V4 Group countries. Earlier that day there was also a meeting of Hungarian and Polish AHICE administrators, also in ICC in Cracow.
During the V4 Group experts meeting, the following issues were addressed: further cooperation in the field of cultural heritage and up-coming summer school V4 Heritage Academy held in Lower Silesia, in particular in Świdnica in July 2018.
V4 Heritage Academy is an international summer training programme, addressed to the staff of conservation and preservation services as well as institutions of culture and non-governmental institutions involved in the protection of heritage. Its primary objective is to exchange experiences and good practices in the field of management and preservation of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The upcoming course is prepared within the European Year of Cultural Heritage, so its formula will be expanded to include participants from Germany and Ukraine.
